The Marangoni group operates in various sectors of the tyre industry, organising its activities into six principal business areas which are controlled by a series of operating units.

Activities show a strong degree of vertical diversification but are also strongly integrated thanks to the development of multiple synergies between the various business areas.

The Marangoni group manages in an integrated fashion all the economic activities associated with the life cycle of the tyre, possessing technological, manufacturing and commercial strengths which positively impact on the various levels of the chain of value of the tyre.

Retreading Materials & Technology

The Retreading Systems division handles a broad range of products, technologies and services, including hot and cold retreading materials, machinery and accessories for retreading with precured rings as well as retreader assistance and marketing support.

The division includes various facilities and commercial offices in Italy and around the world, and is constantly expanding: in 2001, the division opened a new factory in Brazil (Marangoni do Brasil) and a sales office in the USA (Marangoni Tread N.A.), that in year 2004 has been developed with an independent production plant

Although the Retreading Systems division has outstanding know-how in hot retreading processes, its current core business is the sector of cold retreading with precured rings. For this type of applications the division has developed the exclusive RINGTREAD system: a cold retreading technology that utilises precured rings instead of the traditional strips, thus offering considerable advantages to both the retreader as well as the end user. Such benefits include a reduction in processing times, zero waste plus higher quality and reliability of the retreaded tyre.

In addition to supplying materials and turn-key plants, Marangoni also promotes the RINGTREAD system with retreaders, supporting them in their relationships with end users, while providing constant commercial and marketing support.

Tyres
• Marangoni Tyre Spa

New tyres for motor cars and light-duty transportation are a product that, over the years, has not only acquired a significant dimension, it has also become a core element in the Group’s activities. The Tyre Products division deals with new tyre manufacturing and marketing.

A wide and varied range of products, evolving progressively towards specialist and high-performance tyres, and a strong commitment to technological research are characteristic features of Marangoni Tyre’s activities.

Marangoni tyres encompass certain qualities in their construction and performance that have rapidly earned them an important position in many strategic markets, with a particularly significant result in the European setting, which is the most difficult and demanding in the world.
The technological and qualitative maturity achieved is witnessed also by the lifelong guarantee that Marangoni currently offers on all of its tyres.

An essential element in its success and notoriety is the commercial network, composed mainly of independent distributors operating in partnerships with Marangoni Tyre Spa, continuously nurtured through new forms of co-operation: a formula that assures a prompt and flexible reaction to market needs, as well as a highly-efficient customer service.

Tyre Retreading
• Marangoni Pneumatici Spa

In the retreading sector, Marangoni is one of Europe’s absolute leaders. The technologies adopted include hot and cold retreading with the use of ultra modern equipment developed within the Marangoni Group.

The Tyre Retreading division produces retreaded tyres for
- cars (in the Feltre installation, the world’s largest) - a world leader
- 4x4 off-road vehicles
- light and heavy-duty haulage - the leader in Italy
- earth-moving machinery - the leader in Europe

These sectors have strong development prospects thanks to renovated and improved production plants and installations – such as those in Rovereto and Feltre – that are some of the world’s most modern facilities.

The Tyre Retreading division also takes full advantage of its extensive know-how.
Marangoni is one of the world’s few retreaders whose activities involve the complete production cycle: from raw material processing to a power-generating tyre disposal system that makes Rovereto one of the sectors’ most modern installations. 

At a commercial level, Marangoni’s leadership in Italy is supported by an important position on foreign markets, thanks to which the company is developing extensively in many European areas.

Industrial Tyres
• Marangoni Pneumatici Spa

In the fork-lift truck tyre sector, Marangoni is the leading Italian manufacturer and one of Europe’s largest.

The division’s products are designed mainly to equip fork-lift trucks, but are also used for loading platforms, excavators, loading machines and sweepers. In addition to superelastic tyres, the company’s main product, the range also includes rubberised rings and pneumatic tyres.

A specific production area of the Rovereto plant, certainly the most innovative and automated facility in the sector, is dedicated to this particular type of tyre.
In addition, modern production technology is backed by extensive commitment to research. This has led to the development of compounds with specific dynamic characteristics that increase tyre endurance, economy and comfort.
Another important activity is the production of special tyres for heavy-duty applications, additional proof of the company’s outstanding level of specialisation.

Thanks to their high quality standard, Marangoni’s industrial tyres are certified with the world’s main fork-lift truck manufacturers.

Technology
• Marangoni Meccanica Spa

The division designs and builds tyre production and retreading equipment, plants and technologies. It also supplies the know-how and technical assistance to produce new tyres for cars and light transport vehicles.

In addition to producing almost all the equipment used in the Group’s facilities, the division also supplies the international market, where it has established a long-standing prestigious position. In fact, the Tyre Machinery division’s research and development centre has produced many of the world’s key tyre retreading and processing machines.

All Tyre Machinery division activities are geared to develop innovative solutions. Today, in particular, the division is strongly focused on developing leading-edge technologies for the new tyre sector.

As a result of its propensity for innovation, the division is also directly involved in tyre recycling activities. Such a commitment has led to the development of a patented thermo-demolition process that also generates electric power, making Marangoni a leader in the application of ecological technologies to tyre residue processing.

Distribution
• Pneusmarket Spa

The Distribution division consists of a series of companies operating mainly in north-east Italy.
The holding is Pneusmarket S.p.A. that provides subsidiaries with constant logistic, commercial, managerial and marketing support.

The division’s activities include:
- wholesale distribution
- management of a network of more than 40 sales outlets, which is constantly expanding

The products supplied include all types and brands of tyres, plus a wide assortment of car accessories and services.

Services, in particular, are the organisation’s strong point.
In the division’s sales outlets, customers can rely on extremely professional and complete assistance, which is not just limited to the tyre, but also extends to maintenance of the car’s entire bodywork. 

The division’s main objective is to expand its presence in the territory, in order to improve direct contacts with the users.
