The project will focus in particular on new techniques for the design and manufacture of components of machines for tyre production lines

Rovereto (TN) – With the kickoff taking place October 31st at the Department of Engineering and Information Sciences of the Trento University the Trentino Innovation Hub initiative dedicated to mechanical redesign using advanced software has fully begun. In the following weeks, 25 problem solvers coming from 4 university departments will work on 5 mechanical components coming from different companies in the territory, Marangoni Meccanica is one of these.

Taking part of the PROTO Challenge falls within the scope of company plans for the development of products and engineering methods. This plan, initiated several years ago, promotes ongoing research into the technological excellence of solutions developed for its customers.

Mr Massimo Lenti, the Technical Director of Marangoni Meccanica, said of this venture: “Our projects require us to always keep track of the needs of the market and the best technologies available. In this regard, taking part in technology incubators and making use of advanced laboratories can help to ensure our strong and sustainable growth. We benefit from contact with the specialists involved, and the PROTO Challenge allows us to gain better access to the best technologies and research in the field also carried out as part of international ventures.”

The project will focus in particular on new techniques for the design and manufacture of components of machines for tyre production lines, with the aim of gaining more expertise in the field of “additive manufacturing” and “digital twins” for mechatronic applications.
