10 Jan Marangoni Group (through Marangoni Meccanica) to provide technology and machinery for car radial tyres production to Onyx Group subsidiary CSCL in Sri Lanka

After the Foundation Stone laying ceremony of the Ceylon Steel Corporation greenfield investment in Horana, last Thursday, January 5th, Marangoni Group and Onyx Group, through its subsidiary Ceylon Steel Corporation (CSCL) have strengthened their technology collaboration roadmap.

For the car radial tyres production, it has been agreed the timelines and technology transfer plan with reference to the acquisition of the process and technology know-how and of a state-of-the-art highly European quality standard production line from Marangoni Meccanica, a subsidiary of Marangoni Group.

For Marangoni Group this is aimed at supporting the strategy of Onyx Group to invest in the tyre sector, with the objective to become the largest tyre manufacturer in Sri Lanka to serve both local and international markets.
